  • Fall 2022 Home Decor Trends and Design Styles You Will Love

Even though summer is still in full swing, autumn will be here before we know it!  If you’re in the mood to start shopping for fall home decor, this is a great time to find on-trend items that will make it easy to transition your home from summer to fall.  To help you get started, today I’m sharing the top fall home decor trends and design styles for 2022, along with affordable fall decor finds and autumn decorating ideas.

When is the best time to start decorating for fall?

I like to start scouting out the fall decorating trends in late August or early September, but I don’t usually get too excited about fall decorating until the weather cools down a bit — or at least by the first day of fall (which falls on September 22 this year).

Whenever you decide to start decorating, you’ll find that adding a touch of fall style to your home can be easy.  Simply layer in some warmer, richer colors and weave in a few fall accents in a variety of textures to quickly transition your home from summer to fall.

Julian Apple Days Festival Oct. 5 & 6, 2013

What could be better to get in the mood for fall than a warm apple pie smothered in cinnamon sugar topped with a big scoop of vanilla bean ice cream? Julian apple days feels like the start of winter season to me. The festival runs for the weekend October 5th & 6th, but local folks say its really more like the entire month of October and apple days just jump starts it. Either way I can’t wait! Julian Apple Days festival coming soon

The Julian Merchants Association’s "Wanted — Golden Apple” campaign will kick off Sept. 15, marking the official start of the Julian Apple Days celebration. There will be merchant posters and golden apples to hide, and prizes for shoppers who find them.

The Julian Apple Days Festival will be held Oct. 6 and 7 at Menghini Winery, offering a special weekend full of fun for the whole family. The event will feature apple displays, music, an antique tractor and farm equipment display, pie eating contest, children’s games and activities, gold panning demonstrations, a beer, wine and hard cider garden, food and merchandise vendors and, of course, apple pie. Winners of the Julian Woman’s Club pie baking contest will also be announced.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Admission is $5 for adults, with children 12 and under free.
